With the Fort Custer Training Center, Calhoun County Veterans Affairs, Kellogg Air National Guard Base, Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center, and multiple National Guard centers and batteries located throughout Southwest Michigan, it is no wonder that there is a rich and diverse population of veterans and their families that call our area home. The VA has numerous programs and assistance for those who have served our country.
Did you know that CareWell Services Southwest, your Region 3B Area Agency on Aging, also has programs that can help? Located in the Kool Family Community Center, just a block from the Federal Center, most of our programs are free and work together with your VA benefits to promote your health, independence and choice. We serve those over the age of 60, or over 18 with disabilities, and offer support and education to their caregivers. We also participate in local events, such as the VA Caregiver Resource Fair held in May at the VA, the recent DLA Employee Health Fair at the Federal Center, and the annual VA/Homeless Stand Down held at Full Blast.
