SilverSneakers® Yoga to be offered at FSC in 2022

Forks Senior Center is launching a new SilverSneakers Yoga class on Wednesdays at 10:30am. Forks Senior Center’s fitness consultant Kate Pawlukiewicz is a certified instructor for Silver Sneakers® as well as their Yoga program.

Kate shares information about the classes. “You will move through seated and standing yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. A chair is used for seated and standing options to meet a variety of fitness and skill levels.” T

his is a beginner to intermediate level class in which you will use chairs, tubing, and balls. The benefits of SilverSneakers Yoga are reduced stress, increased flexibility, improved balance, and mental clarity.

Forks Senior Center is located at 101 North Albion Street in Albion (in the Calhoun County Human Services Building). The Senior Center entrance is in the rear of the building with accessible parking. The center is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to noon. Membership cost is $75 per year with reduced rates for those who qualify. Many insurance plans cover SilverSneakers classes. That allows the insurance plan to pay the Center in lieu of a membership, so you attend free of charge.
