CareWell Services Southwest is pleased to announce its relocation to 424 Riverside Drive in Battle Creek, as of October 1, 2026. CareWell Services is the Area Agency on Aging serving seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Barry and Calhoun counties.
The Older Americans Act charges Area Agencies on Aging, like CareWell Services, with developing and coordinating local systems of home and community-based services to help older adults live independently and with dignity. The agency’s current offices are located on the second floor of the Kool Family Community Center where they have been since the mid-90s. Since then, the agency has expanded its services and staff to meet the growing needs of the community.
“We have outgrown our current space and our new location will help us provide an even better experience for those we are charged with serving,” said Stacy Wines, CEO of CareWell Services. “This move is much more than a change of address. It’s a reflection of our growth, our expanding services, and our ongoing investment in serving our community.”
The new CareWell Services building offers a larger space and enhanced accessibility to support the agency’s growing team, expanding services, and their clients.
“We are grateful for the Kool Family Community Center, formerly owned and operated by the Battle Creek Community Foundation, for being the agency’s home for so many years,” said Wines.
While the location is changing, the agency’s dedication to providing trusted information,
support, and services remain the same. Programs and services, including information and
assistance, care management, caregiver support, health and wellness initiatives, and other resources, will continue without interruption during the transition.
Benefits counseling appointments through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) will take place on the upper floor of the new building. Exercise and recreational activities will take place in the lower level activity center, known as Encore@424.
“We look forward to welcoming clients, caregivers, providers, and community partners into a space that better reflects our commitment to service, collaboration, and innovation,” said Wines.
CareWell’s programs and services will continue at the Kool Center through the end of September. October programs will take place at the new building. For more information about CareWell Services’ programs and services, please visit our website.
