Don’t let winter get you down, join in the fun at your local senior center!

By Liz Lawson Young, Marketing Specialist

Winter can often intensify feelings of loneliness or isolation. It’s hard to get outside in the cold and snow, and sometimes we don’t see the sun that much. During this time, it’s important to stay connected to others and join in activities that bring joy.

If you’re looking to make friends, have fun, exercise, or learn something new this winter, there are many opportunities through CareWell Services and our partners!

CareWell Services offers many weekly activities at the Kool Family Community Center. Get your body moving at an exercise class! We offer two weekly classes, Strong Bones on Tuesdays at 1pm or MoveWell on Fridays at 1pm. Join in our Friday lunch and learn events at 11:30am  to grow your mind, or get support at our grief or caregiver groups.

Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center in Marshall has a full calendar of events that you can join this winter, including line dancing, craft classes, bingo, Tai Chi, yoga, live music and more!

Forks Senior Center in Albion offers members fun activities like euchre, ping pong, cribbage, yoga, and more!
