What’s available at the Area Agency on Aging? Know before you need it!

“I’m not aging. I don’t need your services.” I can’t tell you how many times I have heard this sentiment. Many folks insist that they don’t need to know about the services available through the Area Agency on Aging because they don’t want to acknowledge their advanced standing. However, I also hear many people saying, “I wish I had known about your services earlier.”

How do we get the word out? How do we educate people about the free services available to those over 60? CareWell Services has several presentations geared toward educating the community as well as raising awareness about different topics. Perhaps you are not actually at that age yet, but I bet you know someone who is.

CareWell Services Southwest provides free services to those 60 and older, 18 and older with disabilities, and caregivers. If you fall into one (or more) of those categories, CareWell Services is your source for all things information, resources, services, and more! Folks may not even know what help they need, just that they are struggling to get through the month, week, or day.

We have specialists available on the Information and Assistance line who are able to listen to your story. You only have to tell them what is going on, and they will pluck out the pertinent information to connect you with the needed resources available to you. This can be done via a phone call or an in-person appointment. These services are available to anyone in Barry or Calhoun Counties, whether an individual, a caregiver, a nurse, a neighbor, or a friend. Anyone can call.

Call us at (269) 966-2450! We are here to help.
