Albion Students Help Seniors Get Tech Savvy

By Luann Sommers, Forks Senior Center Director

Albion College students have been coming to the Forks Senior Center to meet with people about their tech issues. Some bring their laptop or tablet. Others bring their iPhone or Android.

During the summer two students will be available to members of Forks Senior Center on Wednesdays by appointment. A sign up sheet is available at the center if you would like an appointment with one of these students. You are welcome to sign up for additional appointments if they are available.

We really appreciate Albion College allowing these students to come and share their knowledge and expertise with us. We want them to feel needed, so please sign up if you would like help with your tech issues. The students love helping out and have been enjoying their time with all of you.

Albion students will also be available on Mondays, July 8 and 29 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Kool Family Community Center to assist seniors with technology issues. These days are open to any Calhoun County seniors to drop in for assistance.

If you have questions about the Forks Senior Center, please call (517) 629-3842. Visit carewellservices.org/events-calendar to learn more about programs and events happening at the senior centers in Calhoun County.
