Reciprocal Membership Available at Forks and Heritage Commons Senior Centers

Forks Senior Center and Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center have agreed to a reciprocal membership agreement. This means that if you become a member at one of the centers, you will also have access to activities at the other. The senior centers offer some of the same activities, but they also have unique opportunities for seniors to enjoy at the separate locations.

Forks Senior Center has a full Fitness Center and offers Early Risers, CareWell’s MoveWell, Senior Health Partner’s Fitness and Fun classes, and SilverSneakers. You can also join in on Milestone Senior Meals, Euchre, Bingo, Bunco, Five Crowns, Footcare, the Long Game, Medicare counseling, Healthy Eating group, and Sit & Stitch. There is something for everyone! Check out the calendar for a full list of activities.

Heritage Commons offers Arts and Crafts, Cardio Drumming, Line Dancing, Tai Chi, Yoga, Strong Bones exercise class, and a Fitness Room. They also have social lunches, Bingo, Dominos, Euchre, and Mahjong. Members can also enjoy the pool tables, a shuffle board, and a big library where seniors can check out a good book or do a puzzle. View the calendar to see all activities offered.

By joining one center, you now have access to double the fun! Forks Senior Center also participates in the Silver Sneakers and Renew Active program where your insurance company covers your membership.

If you are interested in joining one of the centers, you can visit three times for free before making your decision. Membership is $75 per year, and scholarships are available for low-income individuals.

For more information call the Forks Senior Center at (517) 629-3842 or come visit us at the Albion Calhoun County building at 101 N. Albion Street in Albion. Heritage Commons can be reached at (269) 558-6150 or visit at 15885 W. Michigan Avenue in Hastings in the Marshall Plaza.
