Medicare Open Enrollment Begins Soon!

From October 15 through December 7, you can compare, verify, and change your medication coverage for the 2023 year.

There may have been changes to your plan that you want to check on. Keep an eye out for mailings coming from your current insurance company as they are required to notify you of coverage and cost changes.

As a reminder, we are able to review your Part D Prescription Plan as well as your Medicare Advantage Plan. To be able to assist you most accurately, counselors may require your Medicare number, date of birth, medication information, and insurance information. If you have previously created a MyMedicare.gov account on your computer or smartphone, please make certain your username and password are active and accurate prior to coming to your appointment.

Compare plans at Medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-Medicare. To contact your local MMAP site for an appointment, call MMAP at the Kool Family Community Center in Battle Creek at 1-800-803-7174, Forks Senior Center in Albion at 517-629-3842, Albion Healthcare Alliance at 517-629-5080, and Calhoun County Office of Senior Services in Marshall at 269-781-0846. Barry County clients can reach out to the Barry County Commission on Aging in Hastings at 269-948-4856. Many counselors continue to work from home on a part time basis, so your caller ID may not indicate the call is coming from the MMAP site when returning your call.

Please note that your new coverage will not begin until the first of the following year.
