Make 2024 the year of writing your legacy! A legacy journal is the perfect way to ensure your memories, life lessons, and reflections are passed on to your loved ones.
The purpose of legacy journaling is to discover, communicate, and preserve your values, wisdom, and blessing for future generations. It is a wonderful gift to your loved ones and yourself.
I am excited to host a Legacy Journaling group this year at Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center! Members can join me every Tuesday in 2024 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm to work on their legacy journals.
Each week we will have several writing prompts and questions, spanning all three stages of life – early life, mid life, and later in life/reflection. There will be time during the sessions for you to share your reflections if you’re comfortable doing so. Sharing fosters a sense of community and provides an opportunity for feedback and connection.
By the end of the year, members will have written and reflected on over 150 thought-provoking questions about life, memories, and legacy.
Prior writing experience is not necessary. Journals are available for purchase at the front desk at Heritage Commons, or you can bring your own.
