CareWell Services Southwest, along with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Bureau of Aging, Community Living, and Supports, is tasked with developing and administering a Multi-Year State Plan on Aging. This plan provides goals and objectives related to assisting older residents, their families, and caregivers under the Older Americans Act.
MDHHS is seeking input on the experiences of older adults living in Michigan. You are invited to attend a local Community Conversation and contribute your voice to the next State Plan on Aging. Community Conversations are being held throughout the state, including Marshall, Michigan. This Community Conversation will take place at the Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center to discuss the needs of older adult residents.
The goal of the Community Conversation is to learn about the individual and community needs and experiences of individuals aged sixty and older Information will be gathered on needs and potential gaps in programs and services that impact quality of life for older residents. This will be used to identify priorities for the CareWell Services Southwest, to carry out in support of the health and well-being of our older adult population.
The voices of Michigan’s older adults are critical to the development of the State Plan on Aging. Anyone interested in providing information on the needs of older adults is invited to participate in the Community Conversation Location at Heritage Commons Senior Enrichment Center, located at 15885 W Michigan Ave., Marshall, MI 49068 on November 12, 2025, at 6:00 pm.
